Greeted by the Maissi Bench

Greeted by the Maissi Bench

Skagerak added another eye catching object to their collection of benches.
Maissi is an indoor bench made of pure natural oak, it is wonderfully asymmetrical
and fits beautifully in a hallway.

Maissi Bench
is designed by the Helsinki-based duo Kaksikko – a studio formed by the designers
Salla Luhtasela and Wesley Walters.

In this project they were inspired by old stair handrails and industrial machinery parts,
and – as in this case – their work often explores and celebrates the tactile qualities of a given material. The result is a robust sculptural structure made of the classic, warm and timeless oak tree.

Come have a look and try Maissi in Stilleben No. 22 in Frederiksborggade.
