The Memphis Stoneware series is tableware made for everyday use. It is part of the Stilleben Tableware Collection and features geometric shapes, honest materials and mellow colors.

The high fired stoneware has a solid, strong ceramic body and a glossy, transparent glaze adds vibrancy and life to the colors of the stoneware. The special glaze is developed by our partners to create a highly durable and scratch resistant surface of the stoneware.

This colorful addition to the dining table effortlessly sets the mood, regardless of whether you choose to mix and match colors or go all in on just one. No occasion is too big or too small - this tableware is meant for everyday life.

Memphis Stoneware is a collection of stackable, functional tableware. The collection is inspired by geometric shapes dominant in the Memphis design era in the early 80s. Stilleben’s Memphis Stoneware is an updated, contemporary version of this aesthetic.

Memphis Stoneware is both oven-, microwave and dishwasher safe.

Produced in Portugal

In close collaboration with our partners in Portugal, Memphis Stoneware is produced in a ceramics factory located near the west coast, south of Porto. Portugal has a long history of stoneware production and the raw materials are sourced locally from natural resources.

The factory has developed a unique single-fire technology. The stoneware is fired at very high temperatures, burning both the stoneware and the glaze simultaneously. This energy saving process both results in an incredibly strong and durable stoneware with a unique glaze and significantly lowers the carbon footprint of pottery production.
