Kitchen towels made from pure linen. Linen is a natural material, extracted from flax fibers. The kitchen towels are woven with thin stripes that add a special character to the fabric.
Linen is a strong, natural fiber with a low carbon footprint both in growing and production. The flax plant is biodegradable and reusable, and its fibers are hollow and highly absorbent. This unique quality makes linen perfect for kitchen textiles and bedding. Like silk and wool linen is naturally heat and moisture-wicking as well as anti-bacterial.
Stilleben’s linen textiles are sewn by our partners in a family owned and Sedex certified factory in Lithuania, which has a century-long history of linen production. Locally sourced linen is cut and sewn by skilled seamstresses on sewing machines operating on a geothermal energy system. The fac-tory focuses on innovative and sustainable prac-tices, integrating recycling and waste reduction in all its processes.
