Handmade ceramic teapot by Anna Bystrup with Japanese bamboo handle. This is 24 of 40 teapots.
The handles were found by Stilleben owners Ditte and Jelena on a trip to Japan years ago and have been waiting for the right time and the right artist. That time is now.
The rounded, stoneware teapot is glazed in a transparent glaze for a very earthbound, tactile feel resonating with the calming ritual of brewing and pouring tea. The teapot is has a flat lid and ceramic tea strainer inside. The teapot is neatly thrown with clear edges, which makes for a precise pouring.
There is a finite number of handles and therefore the number of teapots is very limited. Each teapot is unique with small variations in size and contains between 1-1.3 liters.
