What does the feeling of home mean to you?
To me, the feeling of home means a safe haven where everyone can be their true selves. It’s a place filled with presence, emotions, and a sense of belonging.
What’s one item in your home you couldn’t imagine living without?
In my kitchen, there’s a painting by Mads Hilbert titled "Farewell." I bought it during a time when we lived in a house by Lake Esrum during the COVID lockdown.
Our home was surrounded by beautiful nature, with a forest on one side and water on the other. The theme of farewell resonates with life, and I find the symbolism to be a beautiful reminder.
When you imagine an ideal day at home, what does it look like?
An ideal day at home starts with a leisurely morning filled with breakfast and coffee while my kids engage in some creative hobby or just play with each other.
On weekdays, time feels so structured, but on weekends, I prefer having fewer plans and the ability to be spontaneous.
Ideally, the day would end with dinner at my best friends’ home, who have kids the same age as mine.
What’s one corner or room in your home that’s especially meaningful to you?
I love sitting on the sofa and looking into the kitchen and out through the French balcony.
The neighbour's backyard used to be completely overgrown with ivy and dominated by a large fig tree, and I often enjoyed watching all that greenery.
It felt like a privilege to have that view, as it can be a rare sight in big cities.
"To me, the feeling of home means a safe haven where everyone can be their true selves."
