Stilleben is a Danish interior brand that designs and produces their own collections of tableware and home textiles.

An introduction to Stilleben

Stilleben was founded in 2002 with a passion for high-quality design, craftsmanship, and unique objects.

Today, Stilleben designs and produces its own collections of tableware, textiles, and interior pieces, including glazed stoneware, mouth-blown glassware, cutlery, and linen textiles. Each product is designed to stand alone or complement an evolving collection.

Stilleben’s design philosophy is rooted in a timeless aesthetic. With a focus on high-quality materials and skilled craftsmanship, we create long-lasting products. Our goal is to combine craftsmanship, quality, and sustainable production processes.

Meet the founders

Stilleben was founded in 2002 by Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft. Both are educated product designers from The Danish School of Design, specializing in glass and ceramics. Their shared passion for good craftsmanship and peculiar objects has been part of Stilleben since the very beginning.

The Stilleben duo also designs products for acknowledged Danish design companies such as Kähler, Georg Jensen, Skagerak, Motarasu, Silkeborg Uldspinderi and Lyngby Porcelæn.

Stilleben flagship store

The Stilleben flagship store, located in Frederiksborggade 22 in the center of Copenhagen, displays our full collection alongside a carefully curated mix of handmade ceramics and glassware, one of a kind-products, textiles, furniture and prints – all handpicked by the two founders.
