Memphis Cup – handle-free cup

The Memphis Cup is a handle-free ceramic cup that feels comfortable to hold, whether you prefer filter coffee, cappuccino, or tea. The rounded shape rests naturally in your hand, while the small foot lifts it slightly from the surface. The cup is stackable and easy to store on open shelves or in your kitchen cupboard.

Memphis Mug – large mug with handle

The Memphis Mug is a spacious ceramic mug with a handle, perfect for both coffee and tea. The handle makes it easy to hold, while the material keeps it from getting too hot. Like the rest of the series, it is stackable and dishwasher-safe. For a smaller option without a handle, the Memphis Cup is a perfect match.

Designed in Denmark

Memphis Tableware is designed in Denmark by STILLEBEN founders Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Nordentoft. With a background in ceramics, they focus on proportion, function, and colour – creating everyday pieces that work both individually and as part of a growing collection.

Glaze and material

The cups and mugs are made from high-fired stoneware with a strong ceramic body and a clear glossy glaze that enhances the colours. The glaze is developed with our production partners to ensure a durable and scratch-resistant surface. The factory uses an energy-saving single-firing technique that fuses clay and glaze in one step, significantly reducing the environmental footprint.

Cups and mugs in seven colours

Memphis Tableware comes in seven glazes: Dusty Blue is a muted blue, Terracotta a warm reddish-brown, Ice Blue a cool light blue and Sand a natural beige. Rose is a soft pink, Yellow a warm ochre-yellow and Cocoa a deep dark brown. Whether you’re looking for blue mugs, pink cups, yellow mugs or earthy tones, the colours can be mixed across the series to create a personal, balanced table setting.
