Ceramic plates from the Memphis Tableware series by STILLEBEN
The Memphis Tableware series by STILLEBEN includes ceramic plates in three sizes, made for everyday use as well as dinners with guests. The plates have a simple form and can be combined with bowls, cups and other pieces in the series. The collection is designed to be used repeatedly and to mix naturally with vintage finds or heirlooms already in the cupboard.
Mini Plate – the smallest plate
Mini Plate is the smallest plate in the Memphis series and was introduced in 2025. It is suited for small servings such as a bread roll with cheese, a pastry or cake. It also works well when setting the table with several elements, giving each guest a small plate for shared dishes or snacks. Its compact size makes it easy to combine across colours and functions, and it is also suitable for desserts.
Lunch Plate – for breakfast, lunch and smaller meals
Lunch Plate is a medium-sized plate suitable for breakfast, lunch or dessert. It can also be used as a small serving dish when meals are shared at the centre of the table. Made of ceramic, it stacks easily and, like the other plates in the series, is designed to fit in the dishwasher for daily use.
Dinner Plate – generous plate for evening meals
Dinner Plate is the largest plate in the series, offering space for evening meals and larger servings. It can also be used as a simple serving piece for salads, fruit or dishes placed directly on the table. The plate is carefully balanced in size and weight, making it feel solid while still stacking neatly in the cupboard.
Designed in Denmark
Memphis Tableware is designed in Denmark by STILLEBEN founders Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Nordentoft. With a background in ceramics, they developed the series with a focus on proportion, function and colour – pieces that work individually and as a collection that can grow over time.
Durable stoneware surface
The high-fired stoneware has a strong ceramic body, while a clear glossy glaze enhances the depth of the colours. The glaze was developed with production partners to create a durable and scratch-resistant surface. A single-firing technique, where both stoneware and glaze are fired together, results in a strong finish while reducing the CO₂ footprint of production.
Plates in seven colours
Memphis Tableware offers plates in seven glazes. Dusty Blue is a muted blue, Terracotta a warm red-brown, Ice Blue a cool pale blue and Sand a natural beige. Rose is a soft pink, Yellow a warm ochre and Cocoa a deep dark brown. Whether you prefer blue plates, pink tones or earthy colours, the palette allows for a personal and balanced table setting.
