Introducing: Memphis Serving Bowl
For a long time, we’ve wanted to create a smaller version of our Grand Bowl, designed to be the perfect everyday bowl for salads and sides.
We’ve carefully balanced the proportions so it works just as well for a green salad for a couple of people as for side dishes like lentils, beans, or vegetables for many.
Our idea was that it should feel easy to use, the bowl you instinctively reach for simply because the size is just right.
Like the rest of the Memphis Tableware series, the Memphis Serving Bowl features the characteristic high foot, lifting the bowl and highlighting the contrast between the raw, matte stoneware and the glossy, vibrant glaze.
The design language is simple and precise, with references to ceramic craftsmanship and our travels in Japan.
As with everything else in the Memphis Tableware series, the bowl is made by our skilled producers at a ceramics factory near Portugal’s west coast, south of Porto.
The factory has developed a unique single-firing technique in which both stoneware and glaze are fired at the same time. This process results in strong, durable stoneware while significantly reducing the CO₂ footprint of ceramic production.

The bowl has a diameter of 24 cm and is a smaller version of our Memphis Grand Bowl.
The Memphis Serving Bowl comes in four colours, all found across the rest of the Memphis Tableware series: Sand, Terracotta, Yellow, and Dusty Blue.
