The Memphis Stoneware series is tableware made for everyday use. It is part of the Stilleben Tableware Collection and features geometric shapes, honest materials and mellow colours.
The high fired stoneware has a solid, strong ceramic body and a glossy, transparent glaze adds vibrancy and life to the colours of the stoneware. The special glaze is developed by our partners to create a highly durable and scratch resistant surface of the stoneware.

In close collaboration with our partners, the Memphis stoneware is produced in a ceramics factory located near the west coast of Portugal, south of Porto.
The factory has developed a unique single-fire technology, burning both the stoneware and the glaze simultaneously.
This energy saving process both results in an incredibly strong and durable stoneware with a unique glaze and significantly lowers the carbon footprint of pottery production.

The Memphis series is a series of tableware items that is in continuous development.
First edition was launched in 2013 in a very limited batch—hand-thrown locally in Copenhagen.
Today's version of Memphis is made in close collaboration with our partners in Portugal, allowing the series to evolve over time. With its modular character and mix of colours and shapes, Memphis is designed to grow, shift, and adapt – always with room for new additions.

Memphis Tableware is a collection of stackable, functional pieces.
Each item is designed to be multifunctional, so you don’t need a large number of different pieces. Memphis is made to mix and match—whether with family heirlooms, modern sets, or vintage flea market finds.
The stringent, geometric expression is softened by vibrant colors and a glossy, transparent glaze. Developed in collaboration with our partners, the special glaze creates a highly durable and scratch-resistant surface.
All items are oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
The colours of Memphis
All glazes in our Memphis Tableware collection are carefully selected and balanced. Each colour stands strong on its own – and they’re made to mix and match across plates and bowls, just the way you like.
We’ve focused on colours with a lasting presence – tones that elevate the food served on them in the most beautiful way.
Our background as ceramicists is the starting point for our design – both in form and glaze. The colours are often inspired by the world of ceramics itself, and the minerals, metals, and natural pigments found within it.
